When to choose PVC figures
PVC is an option for sculpted character products with painted detail, accessories and repeat production requirements. Material hardness, wall thickness and part construction should be reviewed against the design. PVC and ABS components may serve different roles in the same figure; the proposed combination should be confirmed during development.
Design details to review before tooling
Provide front, side and rear views where available. Identify fine details, thin accessories, contact points and any areas that need assembly. A prototype review helps confirm the silhouette and part layout before mold planning. Colors, print positions and the agreed surface finish should be recorded in the sample specification.
From prototype to production
The project starts with a design and quantity review, followed by 3D development and an approval sample. Once the agreed design is approved, tooling and production planning can proceed. Painting, printing, assembly and packaging are checked against the approved specification.
What affects the quotation?
Size, number of parts, tooling complexity, decoration, quantity and packaging all affect cost. A multi-part figure with accessories requires a different quotation from a simple static character. Send your target quantity per design and any planned color variants.
